We’re told to diet, count calories, cut out carbs and restrict ourselves from foods that are all around us in order to be “healthy". The reality is life is not easy, and the last thing we need is to fight against the modern food environment every time we eat and rely on willpower in order to keep us going.

Eventually we burn out. Let’s be real after a long stressful day, decision fatigue kicks in and we end up at a drive thru or making a bad food choice more often than we’d like.

And we’re back to where we started, if not worse.

No matter how hard we try, many of us will always go back to eating the foods we enjoy.

We will eat at restaurants, take vacations, and indulge in ice cream in the summers because that’s life.
